But at least he also said that Trump is a psychopathic Nazi

Just what we need in a Foreign Secretary, particularly now that Trump is almost certain to be POTUS again.

I know - he's busy toning it down now biggrin

But at least it shows acumen in the first place

Absolutely delighted to see Marine le Pen and her far right RN party soundly beaten in the 2nd round of elections in France today. Needless to say that they took the result with all the dignity and grace of Donald Trump claiming the vote was undemocratic and that they were cheated.

Whats left, is certainly a bit of a mess politically but it is undoubtedly much better than the alternative.

If Keir Starmer recruits based on his foreign secretarys position on gender issues then somethings gone wrong in the recruitment process.

My Frenchie friends all delighted by the news this evening. The French always seem to snatch something acceptable from the jaws of something absolutely not- although doubt it will have much impact on the undercurrent.

Glad the far right were beaten but interested to see how they sort out government going forward. Could it all end in Macron not being able to appoint a PM that has a mandate and how would it go from there? I understand they cant call another vote for at least 12 months?

OK. I've seen it all now from Farage. He has now had to declare his earnings to the HoC. The 97,000 pounds per MONTH for his work with GB News was probably expected.

However, he also had to declare his visit to the USA recently. It cost over £32,000 which was paid for by a Reform Ltd donor. He stated as one of the reasons for the visit that it was ,,,,,

".... to represent Clacton on the World Stage".

This guy is a complete fraud .... and that is being polite.

Liz needs to take herself a bit less seriously

IMO she should be worried about the breach of security rather than prank - which I found v funny biggrin

Just Farage being Farage - trying to justify the fact that he hasn't set up a constituency office in Clacton. Here he is on LBC telling everyone that the Speakers Office and Parliamentary security have advised him not to on the basis of security fears.

Here is the response from Parliament.

"The Speakers Office and Parliaments security team have no recollection of telling Nigel Farage that he should not hold in-person surgeries in his constituency."

This one will make you laugh.

Apparently - according to his OWN memoirs - when Johnson couldn't persuade the Dutch to hand over some Astra Zeneca vaccines, he actually called in the armed forces and discussed sending in a covert force to steal them. The plan was apparently to sneak up the canals under cover of darkness.

How did this buffoon ever become PM of the UK.
