Interesting to see Andy M tweeting his support for Evo this morning. I know Andy likes to support all the GB players, or at least those that show commitment, but I feel he mostly does that privately. To see him doing so publicly suggests he is also asking the rest of the country to get behind Evo.
Good luck to @Evo151216 in the final of futures in Egypt tomorrow.. Would love to see Evo back to his level from a couple years ago
Given the failure to turn up at the Wirral, I wouldn't expect Dan to be given a main draw wildcard by the LTA until he proves he is fully dedicated.
Qualifying for the three grass court challengers would seem to be the logical next step and if he produces decent form in them he should get a qualifying wild card for Wimbledon. After that he will hopefully have a decent enough ranking for challenger main draws over the summer and then US Open qualifying.
That may be slightly optimistic. Dan has 18pts to defend in early June and then just 8pts to carry forward. Even if he wins back to back in Egypt, Dan will effectively have 38pts for the grass court challengers. To make challenger draws direct, he will probably need 180pts. Which means he would have to be consistent and very successful on the grass.
US Open qualifying will probably be too early ranking wise.

Aye. If only he had listened to my advice LOL. That was to forget about the abortive attempt at a comeback a couple of months ago when he was probably still struggling with his knee, and wait until now, when he would have been able to enter all these tournaments on a PR.
But it is what it is. Personally, I am just really happy to see Evo back and playing competitively. Long may it continue.
