i want him to get back as quick as possible, but i think realistically when your out for so long for what ever reason its going to take time, but this is a great stepping stone, i just hope people (press) get on his back straight away

It looks as though Bob was right - eventually!

QF:  (8) Dan Evans WR 772 defeated (1) Marko Tepavac (SRB) WR 400 by 6-1 3-6 6-3   smile

He almost did it in straight sets:  he came back from *1-4 & then 3-5* 0-40, only to trip up at the last hurdle!

Will be interesting to see Dan's Strategy after his two weeks here. I'd imagine if it goes well which it has so far he might attempt challenger Qualies somewhere rather than futures.

Always difficult to read the match from just looking at live scores, but I always had the feeling Dan had more in reserve. Dan clearly got off to a fast start, and then every time Tepavac tried to come back at him, Dan always seemed to move away again.

I think Dan should stick to futures for a little while after these two weeks. Hopefully that comes with many wins, and is also where he might find out a bit more about himself.
