You can open your eyes Sherbert (a bit)

Neil has won the 2nd set 6-2 and is *2-0 up in the decider.

Fingers crossed

Back to *4-4

This one could be going all the way.

QF:  (3) Martins Podzus (LAT) WR 537 defeated Neil Pauffley WR 669 by 7-6(5) 2-6 7-6(10)

And to think that Neil led by *3-0 at the start of the decider & had a couple of match points in the TB... hmm  He also served 12 double faults to the Latvian's two!

QF:  (2) Michael Linzer (AUT) WR 453 defeated (7) Richard Gabb WR 571 by 4 & 5

Really tough on Neil who on points won, outscored his opponent 119/108

Bah, I always think SF makes a futures week so much better than QF.

Sooo close for Neil.

I almost made the same mistake yesterday, but spotted it in time.  Dunno why.  I'm confuse, too!

Bit gutted really ... think it must have been a 3 set match too far. Will let you know what Neil says when I speak to him. That's NEIL, not MARCUS... don't even want to think about what it would be like to be Marcus's girlfriend haha!

A real pity after such a good fightback against one of the top seeds (and winning 11 points more than his opponent over the course of the match) - the final tiebreak was the first bit of live scoring I've followed for a few weeks and I lost count of the number of match points they had, though most of them seemed to be on each player's own serve!

That man Simonsson's been at it again:

SF:  Jonathan Mridha & Fred Simonson (SWE/SWE) UNR defeated (1) Scott Clayton & Richard Gabb CR 663 (307+356) by 3-6 7-5 [10-5]  bleh
