There seemed to be an awful lot of UEs in what I saw of the 2nd set. According to tyhe stats, Cervantes had a 1st serve per centage of just 40. It is a shame James couldn't capita;lise.
It goes without saying that this result is disappointing but on current form it isn't that surprising. Unless James can find an improved level it is hard to see him getting much joy out of Madrid and Rome qualifying.
he's been hovering around the top 100 for quite a while now (maybe just let go of that for the moment) he's moved down to GB no 3 (no disrespect to Aljaz)
also apparently his grandmother (who he was very close to) passed away late last year. when you lose someone who is very close life can be really hard

With respect Emma I don't think the death of his grandmother can be used as an excuse for some poor results - sad though it is.
