Lojda served for the first set at 5-4 & had two set points, but Dino somehow pegged him back!  *5-5.

Wardy escaped in that set but they have now gone off for rain.

They've exchanged breaks already in the 2nd. 7-5, *2-2

James got broken in the opening game of the second, but has now levelled at 2-2

James then got broken again and at 2-3* deuce, the players go off again for rain.

The standard overall is pretty poor, but given the unpleasant conditions, not too surprising. Just hope James can find a way through this one.

Off for rain again, after having dropped serve, yet again, against a very modest opponent. I've seen nothing in this match so far to convince Ward is top-100 material. His choice of court position makes me wonder whether he's playing in the next court; you can't see him half the time at the near end. As for speed, like reaching and making drop-shots, I've seen Arthur Itis move quicker.

I console myself with the fact that James played a very similar match in the 1st round of Qualies in Barcelona last week, and then came out the following day looking like a different player. He has it within him to pay far better than this.

It was meant slightly tongue in cheek. He'll have better days, I'm sure.

Loses the second set 4-6, he'll have to do it the hard way.
