A truly nasty service game from the others (2 DFs, and the rest...) allows Liam and Luke to break.

Good play after allows them to consolidate.

5-2* to the Brits

And break again nicely to take the first set 6-2

the British lads played very well - can't really fault them - but they lost the second 4-6 - and their opponents played a super MTB, winning 10-3.

Good show though . . .

SF:  (1) Guillermo Durán & Horacio Zeballos (ARG/ARG) CR 171 (80+91) defeated Luke Bambridge & Liam Broady CR 592 (290+302) by 2-6 6-4 [10-3] cry

Decent showing!

So one break of serve - and I would expect a veteran and top-100 pair probably to have more nous in the MTB. But really good overall! I hope they continue to play together when possible.

Liam told me at the DC that he would like to play doubles with Bambo on a more regular basis, so hopefully that can be the case.

Issue at the moment re that I would have thought was that Luke's singles is currently well below challenger level, which I would presume is where Liam will generally be operating.

If they were much more similar singleswise so logically having singles tournamenrs that suited both more understandable.

But for now, for singles progress for Luke, I would have thought grinding it out in futures, looking for the really tangible improvements and results there, is the way to go.
