This time last year Evo was WR 132 ( 9 places off his CH of 123 ) with at the end of the previous year a clear majority of these forum members who responded to a poll predicting that he would make the top 100 before the end of 2014.
Got to start somewhere again if he wants such days to return ...

He has entered the tournament in Egypt the following week as well which I will take as a promising sign.
I suspect James would put up with that 'problem' :)
But BiS might not be so understanding after a drive to the Spanish capital
As far as Wardy is concerned, I'll take anything that gets him into the top 100, although hopefully that milestone is done and dusted by then. I will have plenty of alternatives if he is still playing the Challenger. My master plan is to travel up to Mostoles early on Fri 1st May where, as long as Willbomb doesn't let me down by getting knocked out early, he will be playing his quarter final. That is just outside Madrid. Sat and Sun will depend on Marcus progressing and whatever GB action is scheduled in Madrid. They often start the doubles and women earlier, so there is a chance the Jamie/John, Dom/whoever and Heather might be playing.
Mon and Tues will definitely be at the Madrid Masters, after which I will either be back home, or if TAP pilots cancel their strike, I could be flying back out to Brazil from Madrid on the Weds.
Lots of jigsaw pieces in there. We'll just have to see how they fit when the time comes.
Seriously thinking of cancelling my trip to the Madrid Masters through lack of British interest. I can only stay until midway through Tuesday at best (may be less), so Andy is unlikely to have started by then. I had been hoping that as well as Heather on the women's side, we would also have a lot of men's interest - Jamie and Dom in the doubles (not together of course) and quite possibly Wardy, Kyle and Aljaz in men's qualies. They would all have got in on ranking, I think. However, it now looks like just Heather and Jamie.
I still plan to go and see Marcus on Fri/Sat, but with this week's 10k in Mostoles due to have its final on Saturday and not Sunday, Marcus will have to make the semi at least. As top seed, I hope he gets there. If not, I may have to call the trip off all together.
Maybe I should just save up my pennies (or cents in my case) and try to get over for Wimbledon and DC instead.
