RE: Week 14 - Challenger (€35,000 +H) St Brieuc, France (Hard)

Only saw a few games at the end of the second set and start of the third, but Marcus had started to serve really well. There is so much talent there with the variety of shots, but I'd like to see him play more conventionally and use the chips, chops and lobs a little less often ( there is a place for them though)

I did notice that as the second set went on he served a lot better and Dan couldn't get into those service games. He also became a little more 'aggressive' with the forehand. Early on he was very passive just looping it in.

Agree that he should drive through the backhand more often, would add another surprise to his game.

Well done, Marcus. Very tough looking R1 match, but Marcus is capable of playing at a level well above his ranking.

even though a difficult singles match for Dan and Marcus which sometimes happens they will now be playing doubles together! really good to see and I'm sure will be of great benefit to both of them. would really love to see them do well together.

well, I'm just tired working weekends and nights really doesn't help at times. I think I would like to have a holiday in a couple of weeks. get out into the sunshine and enjoy myself and do something different hopefully not on my own.

Marcus and Ed playing today.

still hoping Dan may get a LL place

Lost the 2nd set though so we will have to wait a bit longer. Unfortunately it seems to be on the court that isn't streamed.

Having broken to go 3-1 up, Marcus' 1st serve deserted him and he got broken to 30, being 0/6 on 1st serves in that game. Up until then he had been serving 80%.
