Matt's obviously got two of them but can't help noticing how many Spanish juniors are playing the qualies here. So many don't bother with juniors but use the adult tournaments/competitions as their learning field. . . .

There are enough Spanish futures, and mostly with big qualifying draws of 64 or even 128, to make it viable strategy.

Or do they have big qualifying draws BECAUSE so many enter?

Not trying to make a thing about it re development - no right way, as has been said, many times - but it's often mentioned for the 10ks in GB that people are surprised that so few youngsters enter and 'have a go' - just seems noticeable, the difference.

(Some excellent MD spots - and a couple of nasties - so vamos, Matt)

And Matt is teaming up with Gomez Herrera in the doubles.
