4-1 up. Will Marcus Walters/Katie Swan get upstaged as the youngest player with a ranking point.

PS the winner should win another round as they have to play a very average Qatarian.

Yes. Spotted that. The winner of two WCs in the next round  Josh is fighting back and we are on serve at *4-5

Into a 1st set tie break. Wasn't following too closely but stats suggest that Finn had a couple of set points in that last game.

Finn takes the tiebreak 8-6.

Didn't see this coming at all.

When you think about it because Milton hasnt got a terribly big serve he is probably a good opponent for a less strong but skillful young player

On a roll at the moment as Finn breaks in the opening game in the 2nd set.

I am really struggling here. Having got to know Josh in Marseille, where he played exceptionally well to reach the FQR, I really want him to do well. However since then, he has struggled to win a match. I know illness was a brief factor but I have no idea how serious that was.

On the flip side, what an achievement it would be if Finn could pull this off and as Paulisi says, become the youngest player with a ranking point. I am going to be both delighted and disappointed, regardless of the result.

Josh appears to be turning things around now. A couple of breaks and he leads at 4-1*

When Josh won the 2nd set 6-1 and went 4-1 up in the 3rd, it looked all over. But Finn was having nothing of that and pulled back to 5-4 with Josh serving for the set. Josh had to fight back from 0-40, saving 4 BPs overall in that last game before finally sealing the win.

Really hope Josh can go further now, but what a fantastic effort from Finn Bass. Take a bow son.

Josh won 6-7(6) 6-1 6-4

Not to be for Scott who ended up losing 6-4 in the 3rd, after a monster battle.

Kellovsky won 6-7(9) 7-6(4) 6-4

Better news from Marzi though who comes through in a straight forward 2&1 victory.

Scott unfortunately lost 6-4 in the third :(

But James M has just flown through nicely, 6-2 6-1
