I do hope that Dom can fix up a new partnership asap and the knee isn't as much of an issue as Mergea ( for whatever reasons ) appears to make out.
Whether or not he plays / practices any more with Jamie ( who I agree would probably be unwise to compromise his partnership with Peers ), for me Dom and Jamie as of now most certainly look natural picks for the Davis Cup tie in July. So would be great all round to have him settled, confident and playing well.
I think Jamie was the weaker link of the partnership with Dom, I think they played exceptionally well against the Bryans bur personally for me Colin Fleming is by far the best doubles player in UK and should be in the team
According to someone on MW who interviews some of the British players for her blog, she spoke to him and he said it was very short notice and could be without a partner for the rest of the season.
Seems like Mergea and Bopanna have completely screwed over their respective partners.
That said, Nestor has immediately formed a partnership with Paes, leaving Klaasen free.

This whole thing of the merry go round of partners intrigues me.
I can't think of another sport where a partnership is swapped and changed so readily - especially mid season...
Dom's entered Monte Carlo with Qureshi, although their combined ranking isn't high enough to see them into the draw. Wonder if it's just a one off or if they'll give it a go for a few tournaments.
There was something I read recently somewhere (others will doubtless remember better) that said that Mr Hutchins was, in his new role, trying to convince players that they should stay in teams for longer, as it helped fans to become more interested.
One does sense that Mr Qureshi has been the shabbily treated partner in past dissolutions - including one (or two) with Mr Mergea's new partner. If he and Mr Inglot were to combine, I hope it would work well for both of them ... and stick!

I have always enjoyed watching Mr Qureshi, probably because I saw him play live in some very entertaining singles matches when he was fairly young. Like Spectator I hope he forms a partnership with Dom, I would really enjoy following the pair of them as a team.
I'd forgotten how highly ranked Qureshi was as a singles player (125, for those who don't want to go searching, with a number of wins over quite good players). Thanks for the reminder, Optimist!
Interesting and could be a good match-up and Ram now evidently wanting to concentrate on doubles should only make him better at a form he has shown up well in in the past.
Dom certainly appears much more like Ram in playing style, not that the contrasting style with Mergea was exactly holding them back.
