I make that 9 points in a row now, assuming he won five straight points in that last game. *4-2.

With Kyle serving for the set at *5-4, my livestream dies. Kyle served out to love though. 1st set in the bag 6-4.

Likewise. Looked away for a moment and it said the live event had ended. I assumed someone had retired. Thankfully not.

Second goes to a tie-break. 6-4, 6-6.

A backhand error gives Martin the mini-break and some solid serving takes him to 1-4.

Kyle makes the pass for *2-4 going into the break. Up against it.

Been a poor tie-break from Kyle. Martin punishes a second serve and has 2-5*.

Big serve gives Martin four set points. Nets the volley on the first. *3-6.

A brilliant BHDTL gives Martin the set. 3-7.

6-4, 6-7(3). Into a decider.

Only 1 BP in the entire match to either player so far. That was the one Kyle took in the 1st set. I fear this could come down to the lottery of a 3rd set breaker.

6-4 6-7(3)

The only BP in the match so far, converted by Kyle, gave him the first set. But Martin eases the second set TB three mini breaks to one, and it's one set all.

Martin's such an unorthodox player and Kyle has really struggled to deal with his serve and volley approach. Makes it really difficult to find any sort of rhythm.

Coasting through his service games but just can't make any sort of impact on Martin's. Can't see past a final set tie-break really.

Just checked the stats - Kyle hasn't dropped a point on serve this set (12/12), but he's only won three himself (from 11).

In-fact, he's only dropped 16 points on serve all match (from 77).

Yet another hold to love for Kyle who leads *5-4

Really hope he pulls through, but as a spectacle, this hasn't been a very enthralling match.

Out of the blue, Kyle turns on the style and breaks to win 6-4 6-7(3) 6-4.

Phew.

Great stuff.

Fabrice will be really cross that he faltered just at the last and didn't force the TB.

Well played by Kyle, though. It's not easy for youngsters to play dedicated serve and volleyers - they don't get much practice playing them.
