There was a time a couple of years back when Alex somehow seemed more suited to challengers than futures, certainly seeming to raise his level.

So, in some ways I am slightly surprised that he hasn't really seemed to venture near challengers in the last year or so.

Well, he did break his arm twice during 12 months within 2013/2014  . . .
