A really good win for James but looks like a pretty poor capitulation from Josh.

QF: James Marsalek WR 728 vs (7) Scott Griekspoor (NED) WR 557

Would be a good win if he can manage it.

Marzi is a break up in the second. He seems to play well in the middle east....

Very tense. Marzi serving for the match at *5-4. Has had MPs and has saved BPs. Deuce for about the 5th time.

Finally he does it. Marzi wins 7-5 6-4. Great win and really good week for him. Judging from tweets I have seen, Beechy is out there with him as well.

Which sadly looks like Pospisil, who is serving for the match at *5-2 in the 2nd.

Given the amount of sets and matches that Marzi has lost after serving for them I always fear the worst when he gets in sight of the winning line. Glad to see he eventually stumbled over it for another good win.

Dave lost 4&2

So Marzi plays the second seed next.

Very nice result for James..

And backs up what most of us were saying a few months ago - that James seems to have had a bit of a sea-change in his tennis - no idea why (no injury problems that one knows of) but he had such a barren 12-18 months, it was depressing (more for him, I'm sure). And then, suddenly, come December (and in Qatar too) he clocks his best result for ages (runner-up), then a QF and a semi in Feb., and it all suddenly looks a bit more rosy.
