I wonder what Anna and Joss' schedule is for the next few weeks.

I cannot see them playing 25ks any more and there are very few ITF tournaments at 50K+. Are we going to see them back on the main tour? They have some decent points to defend soon.

Their rankings should be good enough to get them into International events. I would definitely expect them to play Katowice next week and then they have a couple of weeks where are a few European clay International tournaments which they can choose from. I'm sure they will make the cut in Bogota as well if they are feeling adventurous.

Anna and Joss are not that far off getting into Masters and GS.

The CR cut off in Miami was 140. The expected cut off for GS is somewhere similar, so they need to rise around 10-15 places, although that in reality is around 300 points each which may be a bit harder than it looks.

I know there is only 11 counters in women's doubles and I know everything is on-site sign in so they are never sure if they will get into an event, but I would like to see them play more events to maximise their chances of big points scores. They could have played 2 Internationals before Aussie Open, and could even have played Antwerp Premier if they signed in. And played a few more events at the back end of last year too.

Could definately doing with getting their combined ranking up to around the 140 mark, your right.

Current doubles WR 70 is on 1140 points, i.e. over 100 points a tournament for a full 11 counters. So the girls look to need to be averaging over 100 points a counter to get to CR 140.

Now a RU and winner spot ( 80 points for a 50K title ) would be decent counters to have ( indeed 29 points for a SF is already their joint 10th/11th counter ), but they clearly can't achieve their requited overall average from 50Ks.

Good stuff, Joss and Anna.

3 normal TBs and 2 MTBs faced during the week and all won so they didn't exactly romp to the title, but produced the goods when it mattered.
