RG entry will be based on the rankings as of Monday 13th April. Between now and then James is only likely to play the Le Gosier challenger next week. He could potentially enter qualifying for either Houston or Casblanca (both ATP 250s) the following week, he is on the Alt list for both but unlikely to make it in directly. However this won't be possible if he goes deep in Le Gosier and in any event he may want some time to practice on clay before making the transition.

I think a big part of it is that Leon has established an outstanding Davis Cup set up. There is a great atmosphere in the camp with support players there eager to do their bit, there are great facilities, there are coaches there, match ups are analysed in detail and preparation is immaculate and finally Leon seems to be a wonderful presence on court. Players are given everything they could possibly ask for to enable them to go out and play there best. yes, agree.

its about having strong foundations within and if you're able to have that support as the top players do then the world is yours for the taking.

James must be feeling disappointed but he has done so well getting to where he is and he is still young compared to some players on the tour.

He's abit of a Robbo in that he plays best in front of a big crowd. Unfortunately it's abit of a vicious circle in that he needs to perform well when no one's watching him to get there. I just hope he can get over this mental block and get those precious ranking points to get him into RG.

I'd agree Haase didn't have a tough qualifying draw, and wasn't that impressive coming through it. You could make a good argument that if Kyle plays at the same level as last week this is his for the taking. Played well against Benneteau last year. So I'm pretty hopeful.

Maybe not quite as seminal a moment as Murray vs Henman, Swiss Indoors 2005, R1 when the BBC altered their schedule to bring the match live.

Kyle is 3rd match on Court 1 after an 11am start, local time or 3pm UK time. So should be on around 6pm UK time.

We should probably remember that Haase beat Wawrinka in Indian Wells so while this isn't the most difficult match possible for Kyle it is a pretty tough one.
