Katy Dunne has already made the main draw cut-off for India.

Barnstaple also has 57 of our women on the alternates list. This is the only tournament the LTA has organised between January and June.

I think our women, well many still girls, are in general rather more willing to travel than our guys, but that is no reason for the LTA not giving them more home opportunities and certainly more equivalent to the guys.

I am more and more thinking that the extended grass court season, well particularly the extra week available for 'big' tournaments and how the LTA plans to shift resources for that, is going to have negative consequences for many of our lower ranked players, indeed some not so low, both men and women.

 I worry about this too but surely the LTA makes money from the big grass court tournaments (ATPs/WTAs), so it should boost their finances rather than further depleting them (?)

Updated the tables - there are a couple of double entries still on Strachan, Dunne.

Very few British players at Barnstaple - either injured or electing to play elsewhere. No sign of Naomi Cavaday is she injured as well?

Egypt women and Tunisia women's 10K are very weak and don't have full entry lists

I think the LTA will have real issues finding suitable candidates for wildcards for Barnstaple. Maybe Katie Boulter, Freya Christie, Jodie Burrage, Beth Askew. Real depleted GB entry list.

The entry lists for both 25ks this week are weak so much so that there will be barely 32 ranked players in each draw. All 3 Brits will probably be seeded in India and Wild Cards in Barnstaple are looking likely to be given to unrranked Brits. Compare that to last two 15ks in Bangkok where top 400 players have had to qualify.

I've updated the tables again

Huge amount of tournaments and at higher levels, but very few entries. I'm guessing we are at the transition from hard to clay

Fran should get a bye in Egypt - just 21 entries, not that many more in Tunisia(women)
