Kyle wins 7-6 6-3
(There were quite a lot of breaks I think)

I just had a look on Bet365 to see him win the final game to love, completed with an ace.

Good that Kyle got the win. But doesn't appear a bad showing from the 16 year old American.

L32: James Ward WR 108 v Steve Darcis (BEL) WR 90 (CH 44 in 2008)

The winner is likely to get top seed Chardy in R2

Hopefully Wardy will come out blazing After listening to the proclaimers up as part of his new pre game ritual.

The draw here is incredible. The 8th seed is ranked 63 in the world.

Meanwhile that could be a really tough final qualifier for Kyle. Rublev has already beat two top 100 players (Sela and Rola) this year.

10 points - net zilch since his existing 18th counter is 12 points.

Just have to beat Chardy or whoever as well.

Way behind here but well done to Kyle. First competitive match in over a month so hopefully blew a few cobwebs away. Next round is going to be a lot tougher though.

I see James & Kyle are teaming up in the doubles. 1st round is against an American WC pair possible brothers Hunter & Yate Johnson both have Doubles ranking of 1501.
