Bedene looking much the stronger at the moment. He has now won the last 11 points.

On way traffic at the moment. Kyle seems a step of the pace to me. Perhaps fatigue has begun to kick in after a long week.

Kyle *0-3

Bedene breaks again for 4-0. Kedders needs to call for a Coke and a Snickers to try and find some energy. He looks totally spent.

I just wondered that, since I've started watching Kyle seems to have made an awful lot of bad UEs. Was he earlier in the match/week?

This tournament is played on a fancy hotel complex. They don't really care for spectators.

Besides it is 7PM on a Saturday evening, a time slot with a lot of competition for peoples entertainment choices.

Not over yet as Kyle gets one of the breaks back, although he didn't have to work too hard for it as Bedene handed him a couple of easy points.

True, I guess I've only been to a few local tournies, but there was always abit more interest. I saw Kyle play locally a couple of years back, and there were more there. Greg being there might have had a little to do with it though And it was in the daytime in the week.

Kyle does seem to mentally tire quite quickly and when he loses focus his game falls away badly. It is hardly uncommon in a young player but it is something he will need to find a way of dealing with.

But that was the last throw of the dice as Bedene runs away with the last two games to win 7-6(1) 6-1.

Credit to Bedene. He played a solid match and served very well. Kyle just ran out of steam.

Have to hand it to him, he played well. Still a great week for Kyle.

Until recently, I would have agreed with you but in the last few months he has shown a lot more resilience. Today was simply a "bridge too far" and he has had to play 6 matches in 6 days. I don't understand why they waited until Monday to start the qualies

That win puts Aljaz borderline Top 100. He will be on the same number of points as Blaz Rola who is Nş 100 in the rankings.

Kyle was right in the match until the tie break and then he seemed to lose it mentally.
In the tie break, he tried a serve and volley tactic which he had never used up until then....

Second set he ran out of gas and his head went.

Excellent week making a semi final of the highest points scoring challenger and taking out 3 top 100 players and scoring in on a career high. (Will go if he wins a match in Miami)
