Very impressive, for me that looks like Katie has franked her Oz open form, or maybe even surpassed it a little which is very encouraging. The bookies for the 1st time this week had her as heavy underdog which I thought was a little surprising given that her SF victim beat her last week. But I was worried a little about fatigue given her run in the doubles. Just got to keep fit and continue to progress at a normal rate and 100% we have another top 100 player in the future.

What a positive three weeks. Schoolwork done, a title won and a WTA ranking achieved (in the top-1000). Congratulations to Katie, who, regardless of the success of similarly aged juniors such as CiCi, should be very pleased with herself and seems to have an excellent head on her shoulders.
