Ok then just won the TB from 0-5 down winning next 7 points. This match could have been won much more easily than it was, but it was still a very impressive performance.
I think Katie just won 7pts on the bounce from 5-0 down......
This is no ordinary 15 year old schoolgirl......
Big serve, big game, strong athlete, fighting spirit and will to win, and someone, if she continues to develop at this pace and keeps working hard, who I think can win tournaments rather than matches.......
When she's on a roll, seems to be able to wins streaks of points and games at will......which implies there's big weapons in her locker.
Good luck to her tonight and tomorrow.
My hope is that by tomorrow afternoon she will have won twice the number of professional tournaments in her career compared to Laura Robson
Great result from Katie, especially that comeback in the TB.
Good luck in the final. Whatever the result she has done more than enough to show that she can compete at senior level aged 15. She looks to be a great prospect.
I know the Swan family so thought I would post a comment. Apparently Katie was originally going to go to Brazil but she had the opportunity to go and train at the NTC and then go on to Egypt with Julien Picot, her French coach, so they thought it would be good experience to play in these tournaments and train. She didn?t play doubles the first couple of weeks due to having so much school work and also she has just switched from Prince to Wilson rackets so has been getting used to these. Great result today and good luck for the singles and doubles final Katie!

Thanks very much for that insight, Britishtennisfan.
Reminding myself of a discussion we've had re a GB man, Katie could be quite good once she gets more used to her new rackets!
Many of us were impressed enough about her performances against top 500 players in her first two weeks in Sharm. The context you have given re such as schoolwork and new rackets, and now how she has pushed on this week, just adds to err me in danger of getting too excited!
Impressive effort fitnesswise too re all the singles and doubles matches she's had this week, even throwing in such as a 17-15 MTB in doubles. She seems pretty competitive re TBs / MTBs.

Thanks for the inside info. As I said before, it should be all about Play --> Learn --> Work on stuff --> Progress, which is what they clearly seem to be doing. Anything else follows. Good choice of coach - French coaches I have come across are sticklers on technique and tactics, which is crucial for those with big games. Keep developing your game Katie.
I think it is an insight into the nature of the forum via knowledge and appreciation that players, family and friends of players are happy to post and provide information on here.

Thanks for the information, also nice to hear that Julien 1. is back coaching after a very tough year and 2. he's already having a great impact on young Katie.
