CSN is a very consistent player and rarely loses to players below her in the rankings. She doesn't have the firepower to trouble the really elite players, but she will be the solid favourite to beat Hev. Hev will have to match yesterday's performance level to have a good chance in this match which is a tough ask. But Hev is on a roll and tends to keep playing well in tournaments when on a run like this, so it should be very close.
I think criticism of CSN previously would be mostly justified, but this year she has certainly stepped up, and is being much more consistent and focused. She's a very good player. That backhand is glorious, too.

Well, I watched it, and I'm only just ready to accept it. That was very good. The best I've ever seen Heather play, and against Aggy Rad, who has beaten her again and again, and who I always thought was a real touchstone for Heather; the one top player that she could aspire to play like. And H played better.
With bigger shoulders has come a bigger serve. And she is definitely honing her instincts about when and where to deploy the very aggressive shots which she started to introduce to her play a year or so ago.
Had to dash off when the match finished but that really was amazing First top 20 scalp, first top 10 scalp and in straight sets against a woman she had never taken more than 4 games off in a set in 4 previous matches

Steven, I know you were excited (rightly so, we all were) but...First top 10 scalp - yes, First top 20- no. Hev beat Pennetta, WR12, at Eastbourne last year.
Anyway, it was a great result and regardless of how Hev does tomorrow bodes well for the rest of the year.
During one of the breaks perhaps, you can read a new article on (See Above) on WTA, whose timing in releasing articles remains resolutely dubious.
Edit: Apologies to @wimdledont - I did not twig the link in their post above. I was talking about the same article, and so have removed the duplication here.
