That first serve was impressive towards the end of the second set. She stopped Agi from stepping in beyond the baseline and she dominated the baseline rallies.
Whats so good is this was THE opportunity to get that top 10 win against an out of sorts Aga and she absolutely grabbed it. Cant ask for more. Wonderful!
Great mental fortitude from Hev, especially from 2-4 down in the second. Well done Hev!
I only heard the match, but from the commies, Aga was making alot of UEs. So my question to those of you who did watch it is - Did Hev play at top 10 level or was Aga playing well below par? (Or both?)

Aga didn't play at top 10 level, but I'd say Hev played at top 20 level, definitely her best performance as a pro, and obviously her best result in terms of ranking.
Had to dash off when the match finished but that really was amazing First top 20 scalp, first top 10 scalp and in straight sets against a woman she had never taken more than 4 games off in a set in 4 previous matches
L32: Heather Watson WR 43 beat (7) Agnieszka Radwanska (POL) WR 8 (CH 2 in 2012) by 4 & 4
Hev is also the first British woman to make the last 16 in singles at Indian Wells since it became a Tier I (then later a Premier Mandatory) event in 1997. Clare Wood made the last 16 in 1993 but it was then a Tier 2 event and the last 16 was R3, not R4.
