Bob - you forgot Ed injured, Dan C out of form. Josh Milton should be next surely...
Based on three grass courts wins one a retirement! Milton would be totally outclassed by the French seen the guy playing several times and not ready for Davis Cup.
its Ward for me proved he can win these marches even though his form has been patchy since USA tie
Ideally I would love Evans to play has big time match experience but he is not in the same form of two years ago
I guess a lot could depend on what sort of James ( assuming he is fit to get there ) shows up for practice for the Davis Cup, back amongst the Davis Cup guys. I am sure Leon would want to see him showing some sort of form rather than just hope for it to magically reappear in actual Davis Cup matches.
Don't know whether it's on here, and the injury is well known, but Julien Benneteau had an operation for an adductor injury a few days ago. Problems in the French camp now, the Press claim, to try and choose the right doubles pair .....

One feels for M Benneteau - and hopes he gets better soon. And I know things are complex and political, etc, etc. But there is a certain degree of humour in the idea of "problems" about choosing a team when you have five remaining top-100 doubles players - including a pair that reached the AO finals and the finals of the most recent grass tournament. And the still-active components of an Olympic silver medal team (Tsonga/Llodra) ... who won on grass, of course. And Gasquet, who won the bronze medal on grass ...
On our side, given the risks that the doubles will be crucial, I can see the argument for having both Mr Inglot and Mr Murray the elder, in case Mr Murray the younger needs to rest.

I see that Klein has entered the Winnetka challenger during the second week of Wimbledon. That certainly suggests that he isn't expecting to be involved in the Davis Cup.
