Would Kazhkstan be at home or away?

By lot so could be either.

Australia would be home.

Hmm. Commentators seem to feel that it will be Gasquet v Murray and Tsonga (or Mahut?) against Ward ...

That was an exciting afternoon of tennis!

Andy may very well wake up very stiff in the injury area in the morning, but hopefully the Physio can work his magic again and get him fit for whoever he has to play.

With Argentina and Belgium securing winning 3-0 leads against Serbia and Canada respectively we now know one of the semi finals.

SF : ARGENTINA home to BELGIUM

( apparently like Federer, having already achieved Davis Cup triumph for his bucket list, Djokovic had a rest this week ).

If I had won Wimbledon on Sunday, I wouldn't want to be playing on clay in Argentina on Friday. Understand that one.

Kazakhstan would be at home too - the 'by lot' draws were all done at the same time as the main World Group draw - see http://www.daviscup.com/itf/cup/shared/pdfs/dc/cog_2015_wg.pdf

It was brilliant to be there today and the noise (in the lower East Stand, at least!) was fantastic, even if it can't quite compare with indoor arenas where there is nowhere for the noise to escape. We were jumping up after most points and trying to make as much noise as possible. None of the chants/songs were very original but there was a fair bit of variety. I thought the boys played really well too after a difficult first set and a half.

Good to meet Josh from this forum too, as well as plenty of old DC friends from AMFF

If Murray wins against presumably Gasquet, I cannot see Wardy playing in the dead rubber.

I wouldn't be surprised if Dom doesn't get a run-out!

Wardy has a plane (or several planes) to catch to get to Bogota!

I've not read most of this thread so sorry if this got asked already and I know it's counting chickens (or carts or something!) but now that Wimbledon has a roof is it available for possible semi and final? I assume it was not an option purely due to ware and tear this time?

Don't get too excited about the prospect of Kazakhstan in the SF. Firstly we have to get there, and secondly, the Aussie fightback is on. There match is 2 rubbers all and Leyton Hewitt is a set up in the deciding rubber.

Edit

Make that 2 sets up now.

So, when push came to shove, the two youngsters couldn't hack it and they needed 'the old guy' and 'the big guy' to get the job done . . .

Brilliant result for the Aussies.

Memories of GB v Russia in Coventry a couple of years ago when we came from 0-2 down a the end of Day 1.

Think the Aussies will be tougher opponents for whoever makes it through from our match against France.  Was hoping the Kazaks could hold on.
