Harriet, Izzy and Anna have made main draw.

Freya has to qualify in a 64 draw.

She is seeded 3 in qualifying and has a bye in the first round.

Freya plays the winner of FU and LU. Also in the tournament is a DU, a MU, a WU, a XU and a YU, there is also a ZHU, a YOU, a YI, a HE and three MAs. The Chinese don't seem to use more syllables in their names than they need to.

Unsurprisingly Freya won 6-0 6-1, probably will get a top 100 junior next, which will be a test.

I'd thought the original draws were pretty reasonable but Freya definitely got the short straw in the Q slots (there were places against WCs, LLs, . .. )

Still think Freya's got a reasonable chance and, anyway, it's all about learning for her, not points . . . .

Great results. Especially from Izzy. She had a bit of a sad time out in Spain - I was hoping that last week wasn't a flash in the pan. That result seems to confirm it wasn't. And Go Freya !!! (obviously . . .)
