Maia Lumsden is top seed hoping to take advantage of a weak G1 as the COSAT circuit enters its final stages, culminating in the Brazilian GA

R1 (L64)

Since I kind of link the two in my mind it makes me wonder again - anyone heard anything regarding Gabbi Taylor ?

I had the impression that she had some sort of injury issue at the backend of last year. But I haven't seen or heard anything.

She got knocked out in the qualies of the British Tour last week. I think she's also playing the Tier 2 Tour event this week too.

Believe she's been making a long, slow and gentle recovery from double wrist surgery.  Training regularly now but don't think she's back to her previous power yet.  First tentative steps back on the match court.  Wishing her well.

Another comfortable win, both in singles and doubles:

3rd Round

Maia LUMSDEN (GBR) [1] 6-2 6-3 Eugenia GANGA (ARG)

Into the QF, which means she now has 30 net extra single points to her tally.

Doubles Quarterfinal

Jaqueline Adina CRISTIAN (ROU) / Maia LUMSDEN (GBR) [1] 6-3 6-3 Anna DOLLAR (USA) / Alexandra MILLER-KRASILNIKOV (USA)

Into the semi but needs to get to the final to get any extra points worth having.

If Maia wins her quarterfinal she could meet her doubles partner (and 2012 Les Petits As champion) in the semis

QF

(1) Maia Lumsden v (12) Lara Escauriza (PAR)

Maia progressed smoothly yesterday, but came a cropper against a qualifier today. Maia and Jaqueline lost their doubles semi in straights

QF

(1) Maia Lumsden d. (12) Lara Escauriza (PAR) 6-1 6-2

SF

(Q) Beatrice Torelli (ITA) d. (1) Maia Lumsden 6-1 6-1
