Jonny sneaked it 10-3 I think he said. great tie apparently very close. Jonny was a bit tired after Bournemouth but hates letting anyone down so managed to get down to raynes park and play. He, Jamie, chris eaton and Jonny barr went on for a round of golf after so no hard feelings all round!

Awesome a British Tour Title, followed by an Aegon Team Tennis singles, doubles then round of golf, great stamina! Well done Jonny.

Hopefully he can play in a couple of weeks against reigning champs A1 Pharmaceuticals.

We just finished our first Aegon Team Tennis campaign, very enjoyable but sadly only 3 matches and now we are finished until April 2016! We were up against teams much better than us even though we were in the bottom county division of essex. Now back to the boring district doubles league....sigh!

This is a duplicate just so people can find the Aegon info, from the other thread, if they're searching via 'Aegon'

Gary:

Get down and support british club league

21/6 roehampton v a1

28/6 A1 v Sutton ( repeat of last years finals or a damp ?

18/7 play offs for national finals

Tommymac:

Hi Gary, where are the playoffs for the national finals being played?

Roehampton. V raynes park was highly controversial - after 3-3 RP won shoot out but johny o'mara played in wrong position so should have been a 4-2 win for Roehampton

consequently Roehampton were robbed of chance to qualify and A1 RU instead of automatically going to the final

How seriously is the finals weekend taken Gary? I assume it's one match on the Friday, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. Do the players go out drinking on the Friday/Saturday or is everyone well behaved? Does everyone stay at the same hotel?

How many matches leading to the final have you and other clubs played on Har-Tru?

The 4 national divisions have 8 teams each so 7 matches

4 divisional winners go straight to the finals then RU of each division and 3rd&4th of each division SE go to play for a decade or more 4 teams from division South East

I would expect Sutton & bromley to join their fellow South East teams in the finals at west hants club sept 4-6/9/2015

I was wondering whether there were any regulations regarding court surfaces. A West Hants final presumably means you're playing on Har-Tru (American green clay) but what about earlier rounds? Does the home side choose court surface and does it matter much to you? When I played in Germany every match was on red clay. I think this may have been set by regulation. That's one of the reasons I admired their system so much, the consistency. Otto may know more about this.

There's no rule in France. Right up to the elite level, you play on whatever surface the home team has.
