Nice effort from Em and Mestach, but they come up short losing 46 63 10-1 cry

Very good first set saving lots of break points and soaking up a ton of pressure, Em recovering well to serve it out to 30, they then did well to level up the second from *0-3 down.

After saving a break point they lost the deuce point on Mestach's serve (couldn't have done anything more on the point, lovely touch from Jurak) then saved one set point well at 3-5* only for Mestach to net a forehand which she should have made.

Em was robbed of an ace on the first point of the MTB and it ran away quickly after that. Mestach, having played so well throughout, dropped off badly.

So a couple of half chances to get that one but Em played pretty well overall, and truthfully the better team won in the end.

Naomi will be up shortly.

well done to Naomi and Carina. tough match next against number one seeds but Carina is a good partner to have.

Carina is now in the top 100 (singles) and has always been on the edge of grand slams. she's played well to get through qualifications to go into the main draws a couple/few times(?)
