From her instagram it looks as if Jodie has picked up an injury and will be out for the next 2 weeks

She actually said she couldn't play for a few weeks - hope she's OK for RG

More important to be ok and fully fit for the grass court season as she has a lot of points to defend. Another who suffers quite a few injuries.

I think it is worth an up to date summary of players' projected points prior to Wimbledon ( and after Wimbledon with clearly no points due off there ) now that Katie B and Harriet's points from last week have closed things up even more.

Taking ranking points at 08/05, adding Harriet's W25 title points, and deducting points due to come off.

Projected ranking points at 29/06 ( and 12/07 ) :

1. Emma  620 - 72 = 548
2. Jodie  607 - 214 (net) = 393
3. Katie S  430 - 51 = 379
4. Harriet  484 + 37 (net) - 172 (net) = 349
5. Heather  420 - 78 (net) = 342
6. Katie B  499 - 161 (net) = 338

Be good to see a new #1:before Wimbledon. And definitely hope we have a new #1 by the end of Wimbledon!

Who will first take over from Emma is the question though, especially now with Jodie going to be out for a few weeks. Katie B to come through?

If Katie stays in Japan for all 3 tournaments she has a very good chance of coming into contention as this is very sensible scheduling for her. Good performances there would mean she could skip RG, take a week off and go straight to the grass. The others all have to contend with the clay which could be tricky. I fancy Fran could be our best hope at RG

Just looking at points earned this year, with her QF so far in the Japan W60, Katie B now has the most GB points earned this year. So a GB 'race' leader, counting all ranking points, as distinct to the official WTA race which just counts WTA tour events and Slams.

( the WTA race figures on the OER site helpfully do actually include all points )

We have a few players that are actually close to the top 100 in this live race and Katie B could go top 100 this week.

Live points from this year :
110. Katie B  233  ( in Japan W60 QF )
111. Emma  231
118. Heather  220
119. Jodie  216
145. Fran  184

Congratulations to Alisha Reayer on getting a WTA ranking, in at 1,325. The big climbers are Ranah up 99 to 766 (a new career high) and Lauryn JB up 179 to 874. Within in the GB top 10, Katie B consolidates her position as GB#3 with her run to the final in Kurume, up 11 to 124, but Harriet, with the points from her Nottingham title win being added only moves up 4 to 135. With 2 weeks of Nottingham from last year dropping off there are some large fallers, the most significant of which is Sonay, down 60 to 273. Dropping out of the rankings, hopefully temporarily, are Mimi and Tara.

As there is a bit of movement throughout I'll list all those in the Top 1000

106 (-3) Emma Raducanu
109 (-3) Jodie Burrage
124 (+11) Katie Boulter
135 (+4) Harriet Dart
161 (+1) Katie Swan
178 (-12) Heather Watson
206 (-2) Lily Miyazaki
273 (-60) Sonay Kartal
301 (+13) Naiktha Bains
316 (+3) Fran Jones

329 (+9) Anna Brogan (new CH)
364 (-13) Eden Silva
371 (+15) Eliz Maloney (new CH)
413 (-2) Marni Banks
419 (+1) Emily Appleton (new CH)
441 (-11) Maia Lumsden
445 (-19) Freya Christie
529 (-10) Amanda Carreras
531 (-1) Beth Grey
568 (-5) Emilie Gallagher

578 (+17) Katy Dunne
659 (+1) Jasmine Conway
703 (+11) Talia Neilson-Gatenby
725 (-26) Matilda Mutavdzic
739 (-14) Alice Gillan
766 (+99) Ranah Stoiber (new CH)
840 (-3) Isabelle Lacy
874 (+179) Lauryn John-Baptiste
926 (-8) Danielle Daley
968 (-92) Emma Wilson
976 (-5) Tiffany William

1325 (In) Alisha Reayer

Out
Mimi Xu
Tara Moore

I believe these are the rankings for the Wimbledon main draw entry and next week's will be the rankings to be used for Wimbledon qualifying entry. There are no points dropping next week, 52 weeks ago being the middle Monday of last year's Roland Garros.

Big congrats to Aryana, who is only 17 (born Sept. 2005) - a big step, getting your first WTA ranking

And to Anna too

Congratulations to Katie Boulter on becoming the new GB #1. However, she may find it hard to stay there as she needs 2 wins this week to defend her dropping points and potentially faces the #2 seed and last year's winner in the 2nd round in Nottingham. Katie Swan misses out on becoming the GB#1 but her run in Surbiton sees her as the main climber in the GB top 10, up 28 to 131.

Lots of movement elsewhere, most notably Isabelle Lacy climbs 206 places to a career high 646. Fresh from returning from the US, Millie Rajecki enters the top 1000 at 997. It is also pleasant to see Webley-Smith back on the rankings list.

Looking ahead, Emma could return to GB#1 next week as, looking at the Nottingham draw, the 2 Katie's and Jodie potentially have to beat one of the top 3 seeds in Nottingham to be ahead of Emma next week. With Rome last month being extended 1 week causing everything to Wimbledon to be 1 week later, the points dropping in the rankings have become misaligned with the calendar such that it is points from Birmingham and Ilkley last year that are being defended this coming week.

Main movers in bold

126. (-1) Katie Boulter 567 pts (coming week defending 60 pts counter)
128. (-21) Emma Raducanu 548 pts
131. (-20) Jodie Burrage 531 pts (coming week defending 85 pts counter)
134. (+28) Katie Swan 515 pts
143. (-8) Harriet Dart 484 pts (coming week dropping 30 pts counter, 18 pts already defended)
195. (-15) Heather Watson
220. (-11) Lily Miyazaki
272. (+5) Sonay Kartal
309. (+12) Fran Jones
311. (-7) Naiktha Bains

362. (-59) Anna Brogan
375. (+7) Eliz Maloney
381. (-9) Eden Silva
409. (+9) Amarni Banks (New CH)
420. (+7) Emily Appleton
429. (+19) Maia Lumsden
451. (+3) Freya Christie
572. (+11) Katy Dunne
593. (-60) Amanda Carreras
600. (-39) Emilie Lindh

646. (+206) Isabelle Lacy (New CH)
653. (-121) Beth Grey
663. (+6) Jasmine Conway
705. (+38) Alice Gillan
722. (-16) Talia Neilson-Gatenby
767. (+9) Ranah Stoiber
814. (+73) Lauryn John-Baptiste (New CH)
826. (-94) Matilda Mutavdzic
865. (+115) Emma Wilson
878. (+62) Danielle Daley (New CH)

931. (+34) Tiffany William
997. (+88) Millie Rajecki (New CH)

1163. (+2) Alicia Dudeney
1182. (+95) Eleanor Baglow (New CH)
1247. (+2) Holly Hutchinson
1251. (+3) Sarah Tatu
1288. (+11) Aryana Bartlett (New CH)
1335. (+11) Alisha Reayer

I thought all the UK events from last year's grass court season didn't give any points

It was only Wimbledon that gave no points, I believe

yep - the ruling was that Wimbledon was stripped of points as there was no alternative equivalent event that week for the players who were banned from playing - for the other events, the players had alternative WTA/ATP or CHallenger/ITF events of a similar level that they could theoretically enter so there opportunities were not diminished
