Liam obviously doesn't think he will make DC team as he is down for Quimper

There is a dearth of women's tournaments this week and just 2 tour events and 1 x 25K(In Brazil on clay)

Dan Evans likely to play Lille

I'd expect a few of our boys to have a go at Quimper challenger

PS why do the girls hardly ever pick their first preference, yet the boys seem to on a regular basis?

Most girls I know just run down the lists as they open for entry, sticking their names in any tournaments as they come to them at 10, 15 or 25 that they might reasonably be able to get to,  then a few weeks later look at who's where and where they themselves are on the lists and make their choice. Maybe the guys just have a more thoughtful and considered approach!

Interesting.

If the final choice is thoughtful and considered, I can see the girls' method as quite reasonable.

Marcus and Dan Evans withdrawn from Lille. Milts from Egypt. Presumably to have a go at Quimper

The 25K girls have not entered this week - EWS, Katy, Naomi C, Harriet

Tara playing Turkey 10K on clay and nice to see Katie Swan having a go at Sharm. I wouldn't be surprised if she gets a main draw wildcard

surely that would be a risky strategy as it's the only tournament above futures that week, due to davis cup, therefore will have a competitive field and high level of people wanting to enter qualifying.
