Em runs out of gas and despite saving a couple of match points loses 76(1) 61
2015 sucks
Two mammoth efforts against Osaka and now Sawayanagi, and nothing to show for it. Really feel for her, don't think she could have given either match any more than she did. Head up and keep fighting Em, the wins will come
CD sorry I didn't mean it had been a bad year at all, just that she's battled so hard in her last three singles matches and just not quite been able to get the job done despite giving it everything ('that sucks' in the 'that's not fun' sense, not as in 'that's bad). No evidence to suggest she isn't playing as well as she was at the end of last year anyway, just a consequence of playing a tougher schedule in this first quarter and having to face very solid challenger opposition (I'm sure she could be sweeping up victories in places like Sharm if she was so inclined), so as long as she sticks at it and carries on with her typical attitude, I've no doubt the results will start to go her way sooner rather than later
Hopefully Katy can keep giving us something to cheer about here for the rest of the week :)

Well done, Katy and, yes, pity for Emily how it's been going in singles, but not worried for her.
Re earlier query about Katy's ranking points, I see from the stats section that in her current 141 ranking points, she has nothing coming off until 20/04/15 and has two 1s and two 2s in her 16 counters.
So, for now any 25K wins are improving her ranking points total,
i.e. in running : 141 + ( 5 - 1 ) = 145. Be nice if she can make the '5' bigger.
