He doesn't know about his immediate plans because of this injury.
Hopefully he will get better soon. He doesn't defend anything in Juniors singles till June, so he can move up the rankings whenever he gets a good run in the bigger tournaments.
His first ever senior point will drop off very soon though.
On the height thing. I've seen Dan & Dan playing on the junior circuit for years, and I can't see any further growth in height. Both have quite short parents, and matured early, so it seems a bit unlikely. Evans is not actually that short - maybe 5'8". Cox is maybe 5'4" - there was a picture of him and Josh Milton in China on the LTA website, and Milton (who is about 5'9") towered over Dan.
I'd also disagree with the poster who thinks that the LTA are not behind them. Yeah, you might have spoken to an individual connected with the LTA, who may have expressed his personal opinion. But the facts tell a different story. As far as I know, the LTA pay for Evans to train at Martin Weston's academy at Nottingham, where Mark Hilton hits with him on a full-time basis and takes him to all tournaments. That will cost the LTA about £50,000+ per year.
Cox is even more expensive. Again (as far as I know) the LTA pay for Magnus Tijdeman to coach him pretty well full-time at Queen's. Magnus' previous job was coaching Thomas Johansson for over 10 years, so we're not talking cheap!

I'm back already! Well, I need to start closing the gap on the guy with 11,000 posts!
Don't forget that a lot of pro's blatantly lie about their height. There are plenty of tiddlers around - they just add a few inches on their ATP profile. Grosjean is "officially" 5'9", but is in reality about 5'6". Hewitt, Robredo and Agassi (all officially 5'11") are actually about 5'9". Baghdatis is even more vain - he claims to be 6' - a complete joke. Other top midgets are Coria and Gaudio (both officially 5'9", but really 2-3 inches shorter).
It's no coincidence that the average height of a top 100 male player has remained constant at about 6'0", because that seems to give the optimum balance of reach and mobility. Being 6'6" is probably no better than being 5'6", in that the taller player will probably be comparatively immobile and very prone to injury - and this compensates for the huge serve that most of them have. Karlovic is the most extreme example.

Welcome Ratty...thanks for the insight re players heights.....glad you joined and look forward to many more posts if you want to catch David the admin / owner.
Feel free to goto the introductions thread and let us know a bit about you !!!
Assume that Federer and Roddick really are 6'1". Hewitt's eyes are on a level with Roddick's chin, so Hewitt is probably 5" shorter - ie 5'8". (And of course Roddick is wearing a natty pair of sneakers with no heels). And Coria is a good 2" shorter than Hewitt.
Check out Moya too - Safin probably really is about 6'4", but Moya claims to be 6'3". Ho ho ho!!!
