it's on the youtennis stream. The other girl has suddenly started playing, at last, which was about time, really, as she was dreadful before. Now it's pretty close . ..

She finally closes it out after facing another break point, making the Final for the loss of just 11 games in 8 sets

Interesting yesterday to hear Mandy berating herself in Spanish - I always wondered what language she felt most comfortable in. Or whether it's simply Spanish when in Spain. Or, indeed, if Spanish is simply her 'tennis' language.

Well she was brought up and is still based in Gibraltar, so no surprise Spanish is her first language.

Yes, I know.

Otherwise it would be very odd smile

But I've heard her talking to herself in English too when playing in the UK (although both at Wimbly and this week in Spain there was a  bit of a mixture). Hence, I wonder if it's just 'when in Rome . . .' for which language is predominant. Or, which I would understand, that the 'technical' berating is in Spanish and the more general 'you're a moron' sort of berating is in English.

What I really like about Mandy is that every time I've watched her play (about 5 times now on a stream, never live sadly) she always looks up for the match and giving it her all.

H2H 1-1 - Amanda won 4 & 4 in Vic in 2012 but OSL won the Castellón final last year 3-6 6-1 6-2
