Two nice victories but two tricky rounds next:

QR1: Ross-Tiree Wilson UNR def. Viacheslav Krotov (RUS) UNR 6-2 6-2

QR1: James Allemby WR 2132 def. Andrew Ochotta (CAN) UNR (CH 1628 in 09/13) 6-1 6-2


QR2: Ross-Tiree Wilson UNR v (q2) Markos Kalovelonis (RUS) WR 983 (CH 673 last May)

QR2: James Allemby WR 2132 v (q3) Thomas Brechemier (FRA) WR 995, age 18, ex Junior WR 94.

Thomas is the boy who beat Dan Cox and JWH last year, as well as Matt Short and Joe Copper, a Brit-bashing run that Alex Ward thankfully put a stop to in three sets a few months later. Not had a great start to 2015 though.

As expected, and in line with seedings, unfortunately:

QR2: Ross-Tiree Wilson UNR lost to (q2) Markos Kalovelonis (RUS) WR 983 (CH 673 last May) 6-3 6-4

QR2: James Allemby WR 2132 lost to (q3) Thomas Brechemier (FRA) WR 995, age 18, ex Junior WR 94. 6-3 6-3
