Unfortunately, the ATP live score page now seems to have replaced James with Basilashvili.

Major British interest in doubles qualifying.

Jamie and John are on court now against Lootsma and Zverev
Colin and Jonny play later against Golubev and Kuznetsov

Is there any word about whether this experiment with doubles qualifying in 500s is to be duplicated to Masters as well?

I haven't heard anything. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens.

Given how (relatively) easy it is to see who's playing doubles qualies in North American Challengers, why the hell does the ATP make it well nigh impossible to find out whether there are doubles qualies in ATP 500 qualies &, if so, to find the draws at the click of a mouse?     furious.gif

It is mandatory for ATP 500 events to have doubles qualifying.

The draw is on the ATP/WTA app.

There are only 4 teams and 1 qualifying slot

Er, and what about us lesser mortals who steadfastly refuse to "splash" the inordinate amount of "cash" required to acquire a sodding smart 'phone because there are more important things in life & are thus dependent on net access via a PC/laptop?   Still  furious.gif .

No doubt those more in the know will be able to say whether any ranking points are at stake for qualification &, if so, how many.

Just for the record, the head-to-head is 0-1:  Colin & Jonny beat Jamie & John on clay by 5 & 3 in the quarter-finals at Düsseldorf in 2013.

20 points for qualifying (same as singles).

The updated draw sheet does not provide a reason for Ward's withdrawal.

Shame only one team will make it into the main draw... must be a very strong entry if Jamie/John didn't make the cut

Optimistic for a lucky loser position to become available

And guess who gets the qualifiers in the 1st round... I guess it means at least 1 Brit in the 2nd round

Interesting to see that Andy is playing in the doubles, him a Gilles could be a very dangerous pair if they are both taking it seriously
