That's Ed back in top 230, I reckon, and Dan C back in the top 250.

Terriers tend to do quite well in Scotland :)

By the way, aren't the courts here usually rather fast ? Seems to have been many broken serves and as far as I noticed, not that many aces. Slower courts than usual ? Relaid before challenger week ?

QF:  Sergei Bubka & Aleksandr Nevdovyesov (UKR/UZB) CR 440 (276+164) defeated (4) Dan Smethurst & Sean Thornley CR 406 (227+179) by 2 & 3

I had a nasty feeling that would prove to be tough one for Dan & Sean. cry

I really don't know who decides to put the challengers on in Britain but I do hope they put on more. The results have shown that there are many British players who are able to compete at this level. 4 men in the second round and 2 in the QF's is excellent.

Apart from Wimbledon and a few other tournaments, unless you have sports channels, there's not much opportunity to watch and follow the British players. It is so good to be able to watch the matches on the Challengers channel and feel a part of what is going on with other British tennis players. It would be lovely to have a commentator too like in America with Mike C.

So thank you that we've had this challenger in Glasgow and definitely more please (if possible) :)
