Note that with Kyle having reached the final in Hong Kong, (and hopefully more) his new ranking on Monday (approx 162 or 152 if he wins the final) would have been enough for him to be seeded here in Burnie. Every chance that he will be seeded in Launceston next week.

A bit of a flight from Hong Kong down to Launceston via Sydney or Melbourne for Burnie and Launceston Challengers.

However, what an opportunity for Kyle. All the challenging Aussies are out of his quarter. Just hope he's not too tired!

A bit more info on Kyle's match:

H2H 1-0, Kyle won 6-4 7-6(3) in juniors at the Trofeo Bonfiglio in 2012

kyle's def in the right half of the draw here! hope he's not too tired after his hong kong exploits (shouldn't be too bad as not dropped a set!)

He is 20 years old, it is the beginning of February and he has just won his first challenger. I don't think that fatigue will be a problem.

Great problem to have, long may it continue. I can't see that there is much if a difference in time zone which could be a problem regardless of age. I loved his very controlled celebration which had a now we are in business feel to it rather than this win is a major achievement. It would be good to see Kyle play the milkman as it would be a good test. Last year he did tend to adjust after a loss take stock and significantly improve the next time he played the same player. Great week looking forward to Burnie

I will approach the tournament with caution but Kyle is certainly in a good quarter (and the best half) of the draw in terms of avoiding explicit early dangers. Once again, the plus side of Kyle's start to the year is that he has no point anxiety, and with a sensible schedule he will be able to maximise his chances of breaking that top-100 before he turns 21. I'm not exactly expecting Goffin-style four-in-a-row or anything, but hopefully Kyle will continue to show progression whilst also learning from the inevitable road bumps which every player faces.

As I understand it Millman is nicknamed "the mail man".
