An extra round of qualifying this week and Mirabelle will have to beat a former top 400 player just to reach the FQR:

QR1: Mirabelle Njoze UNR v Eden d'Oliveira (RSA) WR 1209 (CH 1111 in 2008)

QR2: winner to play (q11) Carolina Pillot (ITA) WR 1073 (CH 364 in 2012)

Good stuff. Pillot's current ranking was encouraging of such a result, just that CH was a slight concern.

Rather less ambiguity in ranking terms re Mirabelle's FQR opponent.

Mirabelle will get a ranking, following last week's R1 win, giving her a total of 5 ranking points, whenever the WTA gets round to getting its list updated correctly.
