Nice to see some of our youngsters picking up victories : 14 year-old Anna Loughlan, 16 year-old Serena Nash and Louie McLelland . . . (even if they were mostly playing other youngsters!!!! Just nice to see the juniors taking part)

I don't think I'd class Aimee G as a junior! Haven't seen Louie McL play for over a year but she has a unique style that lots of girls struggle with. So fast on her feet, great depth with her shots but almost no pace on them at all, making her opponent do all the work. Not sure how well it will translate long term into the adult game but it bamboozles a lot of opponents just now.

I didn't ! I said 'mostly' playing other juniors - no, Aimee is definitely no junior any more . . . (although still a 'youngster' from my viewpoint . . . ) Like tharris, also very encouraged by Donia's score - I saw some photos of her recently and she's still slight but has definitely strengthened up and looks a lot more athletic than the very, very light girl she used to be.
Joss and Anna are getting some late practice for the Fed Cup in the doubles here, Louis Cayer is assisting them this week, plus I'm pretty sure he might be travelling next week as well.
