QF day ( Thursday I presume ) looks like it could have a series of very interesting match-ups ( or maybe 4 matches on at the same time ) between top 20 Brits as they chase SF spots and some half decent ranking points.
I will allow Neil and other Brits to infiltrate this :)
Well done Marcus. I am a fan of yours now since watching the US Challenger circuit last summer. (6 - 2 in the decider)
15 Aces and 10 double faults !!!!

Lucky enough to have paired with Marcus in a club league doubles last weekend and he's still getting used to his new babolat racquets . I think it's going to take a few matches before he gets fully used to them after switching from prince it's his first tournament using the famous french brand !
I went to watch for a couple of hours today. The two players with the biggest upside both lost - Dan Evans and Quentin Halys. Evans was rusty but still has outstanding quality. I don't know him well enough to comment on his lifestyle, but I'm told he understands that he can be his own worst enemy. He's probably at an age now where if he wants to realise his potential he needs to sort himself out, but I'm sure he knows that. He could start by taking himself away from some of the other players for a while. He's a top 100 player if he wants to be.
Halys is exceptional. I saw him win the Petis As tournament in Tarbes a few years ago and I saw him win a Futures in Greece late last year. He'll be a top 10 player in years to come and will compete for Grand Slams, if anyone is close to Sunderland next week then do try and get along to watch him - he won't be hanging around the Futures circuit too long. Didn't find his game today, and his opponent's serve was outstanding.

Great to hear evo still playing with quality despite the loss. Hopefully he gets a woldcard for glasgow challenger and does well there
