Other seed in the section is [21] Theimo de Bakker (NED) WR 138
QR1: Brydan Klein (GBR) WR 253 vs. Dane Propoggia (AUS) WR 323 (CH 320 Dec'14) QR1: Kyle Edmund (GBR) WR 192 vs. Tristan Lamasine (FRA) WR 229 (CH 214 Oct'14)
Both in the same section, seeds are [12] Norbert Gombos (SVK) WR 125 and [22] Somdev Devvarman (IND) WR 139
Tough start for Liam, could end up being blown off the court by Dustov although I think he's pretty erratic so hopefully Liam gets him on one of his off colour days. Brydan against his usual doubles partner and I've never heard of Kyle's opponent but looks like a good 1st round draw. Brydan and Kyle in the same section but if they are playing each other in the final round it would probably be a good thing to have 1 guaranteed qualifier.

Brydan's H2H v Propoggia is 7-3 and he won their last two meetings last year.
they do seem to play each other a lot! Guess there's a limited pool of players in the Aus tournaments so they're bound to bump into each other from time to time.
Mostly cloudy. High (70%) chance of showers, most likely in the morning and early afternoon, particularly over eastern suburbs. Winds northwesterly 15 to 25 km/h turning southwesterly 25 to 35 km/h in the morning.
Dustov played Ok in Doha but was beaten by a 138 ranked player in qualies. Both Liam and Dustov had exceptional end of season runs of form. I get the impression Liam is really pumped for this match, would have preferred a kinder draw, but its winnable.
Kind draw for Kyle, so fingers crossed he can do the biz.

Tristan Lamasine was French Junior Champion 17-18 year olds but never quite made the jump to seniors as expected (he's now 21). Things finally seem to be falling into place a little better (made the semis of 2 Challengers) but it's gradual progress and very much based on clay. Kyle should be stronger.
