I'm intrigued by the first Frenchman's name...

 

Yes. After a little trawling, it seems that Evan is born and bred French but his dad is Mark Furness, an ex-player, (and maybe LTA coach?), from Sheffield, who seemingly still plays for Britain in senior events. Supposedly, Mark was on tour and playing events in France at the age of 20 when the President of one of the clubs asked him to play for their team and he stayed and, little by little, put down roots, before marrying a French woman.
