Just warming up now. France are defending champions, although that was with Tsonga.
Completely agree with the above post, even if she loses all her singles (I'd hope she's at least make the match with Dellacqua a close run thing), a guaranteed 3 matches against top 30, 20 and 10 opposition is a pretty good way to get your year going.
Heather played better in the first game than she did at any point in the singles, out volleying Paire in a rapid back and forth at the net the highlight.
French commentators getting quite worked up that the French pair can't manage to lob Heather - as she's small and, in their opinion, far too close to the net.
Hev starting 2015 as she left off 2014, but hopefully just getting rid of some rustiness, doubles is really 50/50 given Paire's lack of doubles pedigree.
Mischieviously, I'm rather hoping for more big fluffs from Alizé.
There's not much I enjoy watching more than when she gets her full theatrical dudgeon on.

Heather was astoundingly good in the MTB (other than missing a sitter volley at 8-6*) - some incredible shotmaking from her. Shows what she can do when she is having fun!
