QR1: Kyle Edmund WR 194 v (q2) Blaz Kavcic (SLO) WR 105 (CH 68 in 2012)

H2H 1-0 - Kyle won 3 & 4 in Astana last year

QR1: (q3) James Ward WR 107 v Jesse Huta Galung (NED) WR 194 (CH 91 last Feb)

H2H 0-2 - JHG won 6 & 3 here in 2012 and 4 & 1 in Aachen in 2006

This means James wouldn't have scraped into the Chennai main draw anyway, so he hasn't missed out by not going there, though both Brits have tricky draws.

It will be interesting to see how the top-100 prospects start the season. JHG may not have broken through but he's been around the block a few times on the Challenger circuit and knows how to win. It looks like Kyle is first on Court 1 tomorrow at 8AM GMT (11AM local), with James on directly after; I'm presuming that there won't be a stream.

Kyle is first up at 8am UK time (11am Local time) on Court 1 and is followed directly by Wardy.
