C'mon err both. Well done, the winner.

Would have probably supported Katy in a match vs Emily, just really to help boost her end to the year. But I detect less needed ( though all wins are welcome ) by Katie and I just so admire Emily.

Yes, tricky.

But it is wonderful that Emily will end the year as British number 4, possibly top 300 . . . and at age 30 (which is not so amazing as all that, worldwide, but seems to be a miracle for GB tennis - barely a female player over 25 cry)

5-5.

As Paul said, this had the look of being a close match and so it is proving.

Easy hold for Katie so tiebreak it is. I have no idea how this one will go.

Well done the winner, Emily !

If she was to win, might as well avoid a third set.

Well there is no 2nd seed in EWS' quarter, so a decent chance to progress again.

Bit of an unknown quantity next, never really know what these kinds of top juniors will do on the day. Tough to call.

All the best to Emily.

And while I had no particular favourite in her match vs Katie, the more Emily's recent upturn again ( not deliberately for it is just Emily doing what she loves to do, play and win tennis matches ) ****s a snook at the over ageist policies of the LTA, and even some on this forum who have "retired" her in the past, the better.
