Just 21 players in the main draw this week, so there are R1 byes for both Brits:

L16: (1) Harriet Dart WR 478 v Anastasia Kharchenko (UKR) WR 1039 (CH 428 in 2012) or Magali Kempen (BEL) WR 985 (= CH; 17yo junior CH 189)
L16: (5) Francesca Stephenson WR 802 v Riya Bhatia (IND) WR 1098 (CH 948 last month; 17yo junior CH 228) or Asmitha Easwaramurthi (IND) UNR (CH 867 in 2007)

fran won the doubles title last week with Kempen.

But for some reason they played with different partners this week - and Kempen+ won their match, but Fran (and Totka) lost out 10-8 in the MTB in theirs :(

Kempen got a walkover against the player Harriet beat in R2 last week. In fact, only 3 R1 matches needed to be played in the end.

The winner of the all GB tie will play 18yr old German Jasmin Jebawy, who is the 7th seed, but I would thoroughly expect either of our girls to beat her.

FINAL: (5) Francesca Stephenson WR 783 v (7) Jasmin Jebawy (GER) WR 1037 (CH 923 last month; 18yo junior CH 216 in 2012)

It is Fran's first Futures singles Final since her comeback from injury - first since Glasgow in January 2012, in fact.
