Wow, I hadn't realised that Scott had never previously reached a futures singles QF. May this be the first of many and more than that.
Yes, he has been the opposite of (recent) Liam, you could say - now 1-14 in singles R2 matches since he got his first ATP point in 2012. It's not as if he never wins back-to-back matches though - 10 of those previous 14 R2 losses came after he had won his way through qualifying before winning his R1 match.

I don't know if it's just being careful, or if one has an actual niggle, but the lads (Scott and Richard) have withdrawn from the doubles
If they are not playing next week, I guess they have not entered so they can make a quick getaway if they lose in singles. Let's hope they have to stay there all week anyway.
