I think that's probably his 2nd biggest ranking scalp after Peliwo earlier this year

Edit: it is - the 2nd time he has beaten a top 300 player

He'll probably now go & fall flat on 'is 'arris in that one!  don't, Farris!

Actually, both the ATP & the ITF are showing this:

L16:  (Q) Ryota Tanuma (JPN) WR 1150 (CH = 1133 last month) vs Farris Gosea WR 589

Here's hoping he doesn't now go & fall flat on 'is 'arris!

It changed at some point in the last 24 hours - it's quite rare for both of them to get the result wrong but I guess if whoever was inputting the results on-site got the result the wrong way round, it's not that surprising. It's just about to start now I've finished work for the day but it's 2 am so I'm not going to stay up to follow live scores

H2H 0-1 - Quigley won 3-6 6-3 6-3 in Decatur in July this year (close, so yes, hopefully a chance!)

Ah, Farris is progressing overall, but pity that he couldn't really capitalise after his great R1 win by at least reaching the SF.

Is that Quigley's R2 result? I don't see the QF on the ITF site yet, but the ATP has Farris retiring 0-3 in the first set.

Still not the desired result cry Hope he's ok if that one is right.
